Roland R8M is a percussion synth intended for 19" rackmounting. This machine does not include any
sequencer and was manufactured in the around 1990. The included sounds are mostly acoustic drum
samples of rather good quality. Roland sold ROM cards which expands the number of sounds available.
I have the electronic and dance cards which include sounds from Roland classic drummachines such as
the CR-78, TR-808 and TR-909. The machine has a good MIDI implementation which allow for controlling
different aspects of the sound from a sequencer or computer.

The Yamaha TG-100 is an old 90's sound module which I use mainly for some of the drumsounds that are
included. There are also some other sounds that are usable but on the whole it is a budget synth
with budget sounds. The TG is 16 part multitimbral with a small "half rack" format. Another drawback
is the volatile memory which makes in necessary to load patchdata from a sequencer after startup.
